Philosophy

Our menus are guided by the seasons – choosing ingredients when they are at their absolute peak of flavour. Where possible, we opt for locally reared meat and locally grown or foraged produce as we have so many wonderful producers on our doorstep. We design each dish to emphasise the flavours of these wonderful ingredients. The ultimate goal is for you to enjoy our food and be embraced by comfort and great cookery.

PRIVATE HIRE

Peter Eaton

Food at the The Star Inn is made under the executive direction of award winning chef Peter Eaton.

He has been responsible for retaining one Michelin star at The Woodspeen from 2014 to 2023 and 3 AA rosettes since 2018. Prior to that Peter has cooked at the highest level in some of Britain’s best kitchens including Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons and The Vineyard at Stockcross.
